We use the Ozone brand of kites for instruction. Ozone started with paragliders and transferred their foil and safety designs into the kite industry. We choose their kites because they work so well and have great safety features.

Harnesses are used with quick release systems to attach to the control bar of the kite. This takes the power of the kite and transmits it to your body for forward motion. Since the harness holds onto the kite, there is minimal arm strength needed to fly the kite.

For snow kiting, either skis or snowboards can be used. We use both depending on the conditions. Skis are easier to learn on and are preferred in some conditions. We often use boards when the snow gets deep.
